About Us

Well hello and welcome to That Thread Girl. This all started fairly innocently. You know the drill. You’re sat in a meeting with your boss thats over running for no good reason for the thousanth time and by the time you get home (after swerving by a petrol station to stock up on Rose) you decide that the financial stability of a ‘real’ job is not chic anymore and so you quit to start a business that you can really commit to and secretly enjoy. 

I’m Helly, hey! Founder. Embroiderer. Director and all round lunatic. Then there is David. My husband, who woke up one morning and found himself working for free. We have 2 dogs who would like an honourable mention here but insist on making it clear their role is purely supervisory. 

Every That Thread Girl piece is embroidered by me here in the UK. This means your order isnt going to disappear into some myserious warehouse with 40,000 identical caps and a very stressed fork lift driver. 

It’s being made here, for you. It takes a little longer but we think this is rather the point. Each piece is handcrafted with genuine care and passion.  We will bring to life your thoughts and unhinged opinions, lovingly embroidered for everyone to see.
